Polelathe turning is the main ingredient on this site plus associated traditional green wood crafts. We also coordinate the efforts of volunteers interested in  demonstrating pole-lathe and other green wood crafts ie; besom broom making, hurdle making, etc, at The Amberley Working Museum, in West Sussex, England. Courses are available in using the polelathe.

REMEMBER

As a registered member of the Green Wood Worker Group (an authorised  volunteer and free) it is possible to go in on any non-public day and just do your own thing (practice, help to maintain the structure of the craft exhibits, etc) or  as a volunteer if you want some tuition please contact Colin so he can match you up with one of the pole lathe turners willing to teach.

Would you like to have a pole lathe demonstrator at your show, rural event, fete etc. Then contact Colin who will be pleased to discuss how this can be done. A  small fee would will be charged to cover appearance & travel expenses.

All APT Sussex Group Members are fully covered by Third Party Liability Insurance.

Available weekends, weekdays over several days in succession.
